Is there a program to monitor Internet traffic (upload/download) by the clock like in zone alarm?
November 18th, 2009 | by admin |Hello Everybody,
I just got a custom pc with Norton Internet Security 2007 on it. I must say that i already miss my Zonealarm firewall that i had on my other pc. I espicially miss the traffic monitor that was on the Systemtray by the clock that showed internet traffic. Since i’m still using dial up (will be getting high speed soon) it’s nice to know if something is downloading and/or uploading behind the scenes. Does anyone know of a software program that will monitor internet traffic and will sit in the Systemtray when minimized and display traffic while in the systemtray?
Thank you for your time and suggestions ahead of time.
Sincerely
Jason
As far as I know ZoneAlarm firewall is freeware now so you can download it and install it. Another alternative is this one:

There is a program called Netlimiter, this will display your net usage. it will also break it down so you can see how much each program will upload and download then you can set limits on each program. I found it to be very handy with finding the programs that hog connections.
